Overview

Our mission is to empower children who have learning differences with the skills needed to become confident, independent learners.

The Hill School of Wilmington's program for students with specific learning differences is modeled after one of the Southeast's oldest and largest schools for students with learning disabilities (dyslexia) and/or attention deficit disorder, Hill Learning Center in Durham, NC. The program, however, is not designed to meet the needs of autistic students.

As with Hill Learning Center’s proven track record of success for students with learning differences, The Hill School of Wilmington also provides an intensive remediation program. Academic skills and confidence are developed as students are empowered by understanding how they learn.
